Terms of Use

These terms apply when you use BuyNextDoor (“BuyNextDoor”, “we”, “us”) to browse and buy. By creating an account or placing an order, you agree to them. Please also read our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your personal information.

1. What BuyNextDoor is

BuyNextDoor is a marketplace for sellers in your neighborhood. Most products are sold by independent sellers, who set their own prices and prepare the orders. Some products are sold, sourced or shipped by BuyNextDoor itself. Each product page shows who you are buying from, and every order is with one seller.

Sellers and suppliers agree to separate terms when they join BuyNextDoor. Nothing in these terms changes those.

2. Your account

• Give us accurate details, and keep them up to date.
• Verify your email address before you sign in for the first time. We send the link when you register.
• Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account until you tell us it has been compromised.
• We may restrict or close an account that breaks these terms, is used for fraud, or puts other users at risk.

3. Orders

Prices are in Philippine pesos and set by the seller. The total you pay, with any discount, is shown before you place your order. Placing an order is a request to buy; the order is confirmed when the seller or BuyNextDoor accepts it.

An order may be cancelled by the seller or by BuyNextDoor, for example when an item is out of stock, payment is not received, or the order appears fraudulent. We will let you know if that happens. If you need to cancel an order, contact the seller or us before it is on its way.

4. Payment

Depending on the seller and the order, you can pay:

• Cash on delivery, or cash on pickup where the seller offers pickup;
• By bank transfer or e-wallet to the BuyNextDoor accounts shown at checkout. Upload your receipt so we can confirm it; if we cannot match it to your payment, we will ask you for a new one; or
• From your BuyNextDoor wallet, where you have a balance.

An order that stays unpaid may be cancelled. If a wallet payment is cancelled, the amount goes back to your wallet.

5. Delivery and pickup

You choose delivery or pickup for each order. Pickup is available only where the seller offers it. For delivery, give a complete address and a mobile number the seller can reach you on. Delivery times are estimates, and the seller will keep you updated on your order page.

6. Returns and refunds

If an item arrives damaged, defective, or different from what was described, contact the seller through your order or email us as soon as you can, with photos. We will work with the seller to arrange a replacement, a return or a refund. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Act of the Philippines (Republic Act No. 7394).

7. Vouchers

• One voucher per checkout, used once for the whole checkout.
• Each voucher has its own conditions, such as a minimum spend, eligible products, first purchase only, or a limit per customer. They are checked when you apply it.
• When a checkout uses a voucher, every order in it goes through or none of them does.
• Vouchers have no cash value. We may cancel a voucher, or an order that used one, if the voucher was obtained or used unfairly.

8. Reviews and messages

You can rate and review each item once it has been delivered. Reviews must be honest and about your own experience. We may remove a review or a message that is abusive, offensive, misleading, or unrelated to the order, or that shares someone else’s personal information.

Messages between you and a seller are for your orders. Be respectful. Our support team can see these conversations, to help resolve problems and stop abuse.

9. What you may not do

• Use BuyNextDoor for anything illegal, or to buy or sell prohibited items.
• Give false details, impersonate someone, or use another person’s account.
• Place orders you do not intend to pay for or receive.
• Harass sellers, buyers or our team.
• Interfere with the site, scrape it, or try to get into accounts or systems that are not yours.

10. Content on BuyNextDoor

The BuyNextDoor name, logo and site belong to us. Product descriptions and photos are provided by sellers, who are responsible for them. By posting a review or photo, you let us show it on BuyNextDoor.

11. Our responsibility

We work to keep BuyNextDoor available and accurate, but we cannot promise it will always be free of interruptions or errors. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of BuyNextDoor. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Philippine law.

12. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms. When we do, we will change the date at the top, and tell you by email or on the site if the change is significant. Continuing to use BuyNextDoor after that means you accept the updated terms. These terms are governed by the laws of the Philippines.
